We are committed to assisting staff identify training
needs through regular appraisals and
open dialogue.
We encourage professional
development by:
assisting
staff to identify and respond to training needs
contributing
towards targeted training courses
helping
to raise our staff profile and knowledge by attendance
at conferences, seminars and other professional forums;
and
by
providing internal training sessions and workshops.
JBA also provides
support to staff undertaking post-graduate university courses (e.g.
Masters or post-graduate diploma studies). This is encouraged through
contributions for exam and study leave during working hours, assisting
with course and tuition fees and with other study related expenses.
Our internal learning environment is also
key. We actively promote staff training and development, and our
ability to
share knowledge and experiences among a professional planning staff
of well-qualified and experienced consultants, enables us to respond
to complex planning issues and learn from each other.
