Every year JBA offers one or two 12 month internships to students undertaking undergraduate urban planning degrees. While our focus is on the work placement program at the University of New South Wales, we will consider students from other universities.

JBA offers students an exciting and challenging year when they will be involved in the full range of projects the company undertakes. Tasks include research, report writing and liaison with clients, Councils and other professionals.

Our client base and industry profile ensures that an Urban Planner Intern has exposure to planning projects that are at the forefront of the industry, both within and outside the Sydney Metropolitan area.

We recognise that an integral part of the work placement year is the development of an undergraduate’s planning skills. Our experienced and knowledgeable consultants share and foster a working environment that is conducive to learning.

Successful applicants hold the position of Urban Planner Intern at JBA over the work placement period. The undergraduate program is limited to a year, however, interns will often stay on in part-time positions through the rest of their studies and may subsequently be offered full-time employment with JBA.
