Stephanie is an Associate with over 9 years of urban and regional strategic and statutory planning experience. She has an Honours Degree in Applied Geography from the University of New South Wales, is a member of the Planning Institute of Australia (PIA), and is also a current member of the UDIA’s Planning and Tax Reform Committee.
Since joining JBA in February 2008, Stephanie has successfully completed, project directed and undertaken a number of projects for a wide range of developments. These have included Part 3A Project Applications and Concept Plans, State Significant Site listings, Development Applications, rezonings, and planning advices. Principal Clients have included Landcom, Lend Lease Development, Hardie Holdings, Huntlee Holdings, APP Corporation, Catholic Education Office, and Tweed Heads City Council.
Prior to joining JBA, Stephanie held a Team Leader position in the Department of Planning’s Strategic Assessment Branch, and was responsible for the assessment of State significant sites, such as Warnervale Town Centre, Wyong Employment Zone, Western Sydney Employment Hub, and Catherine Hill Bay. In recognition of her skills and experience, she was also involved in the assessment of major residential, commercial, industrial, health, education and other social infrastructure projects in both metropolitan and regional locations during her employment with the State Government.
During that same time, Stephanie played a significant role in the drafting and implementation of Part 3A of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979, State Environmental Planning Policy (Major Projects) 2005 and State Environmental Planning Policy No. 71 – Coastal Protection (SEPP 71) and is amongst the State’s leading practitioners on the application of that legislation to development on major sites.
