Clare holds a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Human Geography and a Masters Degree in Environmental Planning, both from Macquarie University.
Clare has significant experience on a wide range of projects in the field of development assessment. Clare has worked for both public and private sector clients and has specific experience in the preparation of Part 3A Major Project applications, preparing statements of environmental effects to support development applications, due diligence advice, rezoning submissions, preparing statements of evidence for planning appeals, preparation of planning reports as part of compulsory acquisition and land valuation legal proceedings, land use strategies, and preparing written planning advice and submissions on behalf of clients relating to a range of planning issues.
Prior to joining JBA, Clare worked as a Senior Town Planner with Planning Workshop Australia and with Baulkham Hills Council. Her experience with Council included the assessment and reporting on a wide range of development applications including residential, retail, commercial, entertainment, industrial / employment and special use projects and the preparation of DCPs and LEPs.
Clare has been awarded the Planning Institute of Australia (Consulting Planners) Awards for proficiency in the Macquarie University Master of Environmental Planning Degree Program as well as the Geographical Society of New South Wales Prize for her Geography studies. Clare has also received the John H Taplin Prize, for the overall best paper presented at the 2004 Australian Transport Research Forum, for a research paper based on her Master’s Research Paper. |
