This 12ha site located immediately
adjacent to the Holsworthy Rail Station was surplus
to Defence needs, and was identified as suitable
for rezoning for a mix of residential and local
retail and commercial uses. Rezoning was achieved
and the 7ha residential component of the site was
sold for around $3m/ha.
